Sports Physiotherapists are experts in the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries sustained in sporting activities.

The biomechanical demands of each sport are considered when rehabilitating a sports injury to facilitate the fastest return to activities. At Total Physiotherapy we work closely with the sports doctors and are a preferred treating practise for all athletes selected to represent NSW.

The clinicians in the practice also conduct sport specific, musculoskeletal athletic screenings to identify any potential areas of weakness or vulnerability. We then develop sport specific programs to address any findings often in conjunction with sports coaches.

Work Place Injuries and CTP

At Total Physiotherapy most physiotherapists are registered to assess and treat Workcover/CTP patients. Once we receive your Workcover Certificate of Capacity letter from your doctor prescribing physiotherapy treatment, alongside your workers compensation claim number, we will bill your insurer directly ensuring no out of pocket expenses to you.

Following a thorough assessment, we will communicate with your treating doctor, insurer, and employers to ensure your best outcome. We will regularly give feedback regarding functional capacity for work, and any potential barriers that may impact upon your return-to-work process. Our aim is to return you to full health, mobility, and strength.
